Episode of May 5, 2026
The 2025-2026 season has officially come to an end… and what a historic season for Cheerleading in Quebec.
In this episode of the Kick's Cheer Podcast, the team looks back on Worlds, the Summit, ICU Worlds, and especially on the absolutely incredible performances of Quebec and Canadian teams on the international stage. Between impressive statistics, intense emotions, and announcements for the upcoming season, there was a lot to discuss.
And honestly: Quebec has never been stronger.
🏆 A historic season for Quebec and Canada
This year, Canada won:
15 globes out of a possible 51
that is nearly 29% of all international globes
And Quebec alone brought back:
9 globes of which :
🥇 4 GOLD
🥈 1 SILVER
🥉 4 BRONZE
The numbers speak for themselves.
For years, Canada simply hoped to place a few teams in the world's top 10.
Today, Quebec and Canadian teams regularly reach international podiums.
The sport has changed. The level of play has changed too.
🌟 Quebec teams are World Champions
Among the great moments of Worlds:
🥇 ACE ATHLETICS - Rouge
A team that has made a tremendous comeback after some difficult seasons. A victory that means a great deal to their program.
🥇 FLYERS - Karma
World champions once again. A true dynasty program.
Special mention goes to Jess Hausler who is becoming a historical figure with several consecutive world titles.
🥇 FLYERS - Phoenix
A spectacular comeback “from the ashes”. After challenges in recent seasons, the team returned with a dominant performance.
🥇 TR CHEER - Beast
An extremely emotional moment for the Trois-Rivières organization, which had been pursuing this dream for years.
🇨🇦 ICU Worlds: Intense emotions
For ICU Worlds, the year was filled with emotions.
Team Canada Coed unfortunately did not make it Finals after a significant deduction that cost them dearly in the overall standings.
Conversely, Team Canada All-Girl managed to qualify for Finals and finish in 6th place worldwide, a significant improvement compared to the previous year.
The episode also covers:
the enormous pressure on international athletes
the sequence between ICU and Worlds
the physical fatigue of elite athletes
the completely crazy pace of the American teams
🎤 The ICU debate: interviews after the performances
One topic that particularly stood out in the episode: the interviews conducted immediately after the ICU routines.
Some teams, still in shock after a mistake or a major fall, had to answer in front of the cameras just seconds after their performance.
A moment considered extremely difficult emotionally for several athletes.
The podcast team argues that this format should probably be reviewed in order to better protect athletes during such intense moments.
🔥 Summit: Canada continues its rise
The Summit has demonstrated one thing once again:
Canada is no longer simply "making an appearance". Canada is now competitive.
For a long time, Canadian teams had difficulty getting into the top 10. Today, several teams reach the finals and climb onto the podiums.
Key highlights include:
Explosion finishes 2nd
ACE Redemption wins its category
Several Quebec and Canadian teams are among the best in the world.
The development of sport in Quebec is clearly beginning to bear fruit.
🚨 What's new in Quebec for 2026-2027
The next season will bring several important changes.
👶 Arrival of the U10
Quebec officially introduces the U10 category.
Objective :
better distribute young athletes
avoid gigantic U12 categories
to promote long-term development
Important: The U10 category will be competitive in Quebec, but it is not yet officially recognized across Canada.
❌ End of 4.2
Category 4.2 is officially being discontinued.
With the rise of non-tumbling categories and the evolution of the sport, this division had become much less popular.
🎉 What's coming soon to Kick's
The season is over… but the projects continue.
Future :
🎪 FestiCheer in August
🎙️ The 100th episode of the podcast
🏆 Super Kick's Weekend (#SKWE)
🇨🇦 Canada Cup in Drummondville
💰 $10,000 scholarships are back
In short: 2026-2027 is already shaping up to be huge.
💙 Well done everyone
Athletes.

Quebec continues to establish itself among the world's top cheerleading nations.
And after that season, one thing is impossible to deny:
Quebec cheerleading has officially reached another level.
